Coming Soon: Your new ‘astound.net’ email address

Your email address is changing. Read here for more information.

As part of the transition from Harris Broadband to Astound Broadband powered by Grande, we have to move where your email accounts are hosted. Because of this change, we have to issue updated email addresses using the ‘astound.net’ email domain.

All customers’ email accounts will be moved beginning late June. We’ll be in touch with specific details about when your email account will be moved to the new servers.

Beginning August 1, 2023 you will no longer have access to your Harris Broadband inbox; if you’d like to retain copies of any emails, we recommend you forward those to your new ‘astound.net’ email account, by following the steps outlined below:

  1. In your ‘astound.net’ inbox, select the Preferences tab at the top. Preferences
  2. Select Accounts from the column on the left-hand side of the screen. Accounts
  3. Under the first Accounts section, select Add External Account. Add External Account
  4. Fill out the External Accounts Settings as shown below. When completed, select Test Settings. If everything has been filled out correctly, you will get a status message that it was successful. All emails in your Harris inbox will be forwarded as well as all new email to your Harris inbox.

For a limited period of time, you will still be able to access your Harris Broadband email inbox. After 7/31/2023, you will no longer be able to login to the Harris Broadband email account.

An agent will validate your current email address, you will select your new ‘astound.net’ email address and a temporary password will be provided to initially log-in. You can change your password once logged in.

Yes, if you use your Harris Broadband email address to login into third-party sites such as your bank, healthcare provider, streaming services, shopping sites, etc., you will need to update your email address before 7/31/2023 so you may continue to receive emails from these businesses/services.

Yes, you will need to update your login information on all mobile devices prior to 7/31/2023. Make sure to change your incoming and outgoing server information to mail.astound.net

Yes, your ‘astound.net’ inbox will have a different look. The basic features will remain the same with an easy to navigate user friendly layout.

If your device or client supports it, auto-configuration should do most of the work for you.

If you are manually entering the configuration, your incoming and outgoing mail server will be mail.astound.net. All standard ports and encryption methods are supported and we recommend using encrypted settings.

To login, go to astound.com/support/email and select @ASTOUND.NET from the menu of choices:

From there, use your new ‘astound.net’ email address and password to complete your login.
