“Crack the Code” and You Can Win Free Rent for A Year! Astound and Beasley Media Launching Free Rent Promotion

August 29, 2024

Boston, MA – August 29, 2024 – Astound Broadband, the sixth-largest U.S. cable provider, is teaming up with Beasley Media as it launches a new promotion in Boston starting Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, with the opportunity to win one year of free rent, up to $24,000. The promotion coincides with the return of thousands of college students and others over the next few weeks as they move into apartments throughout the Boston area.

To win the prize, participants must “crack the code” and enter 5 digits to unlock a vault that will be in a giant Astound-branded bus. The bus will be at three key locations across Greater Boston—on Friday, August 30 in Brighton and Allston, on Saturday, August 31, in the Fenway and on Sunday, September 1, in the Northeastern, Boston University, and Boston College areas. Specific locations and more information will be promoted on Beasley Media’s radio stations, 98.5 The Sports Hub, ROCK 92.9, HOT 96.9, and Country 102.5 and social media platforms.

Astound and Beasley Media’s teams will guide participants through the process, with the winner notified immediately upon successfully unlocking the vault. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enter the contest and must try to “crack the code” in person at one of the bus’s locations from August 30-September 1.

“Astound is gearing up for the biggest event in Boston in the fall, the return of thousands of college students and others who will be moving into dorms and apartments. What better way to welcome them back than by giving them an opportunity to win free rent for a year,” said Sandford Ames, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Astound Broadband. “Astound also has excellent ‘back-to-school’ deals on internet and mobile offers that will save customers money and provide top-notch services.”

“Beasley Media is excited to partner with Astound to giveaway one-year of free rent to the winner who can ‘crack the code’,” said Mary Menna, Beasley Media NE Regional VP and Boston Market Manager. “Leveraging Beasley Media’s extensive presence on the radio, online and on social media, we are sure to spread the excitement about this amazing prize to everyone who wants to take a try at winning up to $24,000.”

“Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County embodies the very best of our community and I am deeply honored to receive this award on behalf of more than 50 local Astound employees,” said Buckingham. “We are fortunate to live and work on the Central Coast and take tremendous pride in being community ambassadors.
