Winter Weather Watch: Weather reports forecast a significant winter storm is expected to impact Texas beginning Friday, 1/23 and continuing into Sun, 1/25, bringing snow accumulations, damaging ice, and gusty winds.   • Dallas Metro Area: The Lewisville retail store will close early Friday, 1/23 at 3:00 PM and will be closed on Monday, 1/26 and Tuesday, 1/27.
  • Belton/Temple/Waco Area: The Belton and Waco retail stores will be closed on Monday, 1/26 and will have a delayed opening at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, 1/27.
  • Midland-Odessa Area: The Odessa retail store will be closed on Monday, 1/26 and will have regular hours on Tuesday, 1/27.
  • Brownwood: The Brownwood retail store will be closed on Monday, 1/26 and will have a delayed opening at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, 1/27.
  • Austin Metro Area: The Austin retail store will be closed on Monday, 1/26. The San Marcos retail store will be open for its regularly scheduled hours on Monday, 1/26.

Astound Customer Service Representatives answer any questions related to products, pricing, promotions, billing, features, and services related to Data accounts.

Hardware and Software

Astound takes responsibility for any company-supplied hardware provided to the customer on a rental basis. Should an issue arise with a company-supplied piece of equipment, Astound will either fix the issue or offer a replacement at our sole discretion.

Astound does not provide assistance for any third-party hardware or software; any questions regarding third-party hardware or software should be directed to the manufacturer. Please see our Official Support List for Hardware and Software in our online help center for additional information.

Connectivity

Astound assists customers maintain an optimal connection to the Internet, which includes helping to resolve basic issues by confirming physical connections, verifying network connections and power cycling equipment.

Astound assists to resolve connectivity issues, unless the issue stems from non-supported third-party hardware or software a customer installed. Should a supported issue arise, and all efforts to resolve the issue fail, the Customer Service Representative may schedule a service visit for a Field Technician to visit the customer’s home to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Internet

A modem is required for Astound Internet service. Data speeds may vary and are not guaranteed. Certain equipment may be required to attain certain speeds. Observed speeds may vary based on device, connection and other factors outside Astound’s control.

The actual range and reliability of a wireless network is affected by a number of factors, including but not limited to customer compliance with our Acceptable Usage Policy.

Astound’s FCC Network Management Disclosure makes information regarding our network management practices and the performance and commercial terms of our Broadband Internet Access Services available, so our customers can make informed choices regarding the purchase and use of our services, in accordance with Part 8 of the Rules of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Networking

Astound’s High Speed Internet Service is intended to be used for Residential consumers. Servers are not supported on Astound’s network. Astound Customer Service Representatives will not assist in setting up a network, firewall, or any hardware or software that allows for connecting a server or multiple computers to Astound’s network.
