Our agreement with Starz Networks is set to expire on the 13th of December. The following is a list of channels that may be impacted if a new agreement is not reached:

We will continue to work towards renewing this agreement but in the event we are unable to do so, we want you know in advance that you have streaming options to directly access Starz programming.
Over the last several years, the availability of new streaming apps has grown tremendously, giving consumers direct access to subscribe to content they want. With a direct subscription, you can download the app to your favorite device, including your Astound TV set-top box and watch however and whenever you want. Starz content can also be found on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Hulu, and more.
We’ll continue to work toward acceptable terms with Starz and we will continue to provide updates as we know more. In the meantime, if we are unable to renew our agreement, please be sure to check out www.starz.com/buy where, you can subscribe directly to Starz for $9.99/month.

What is programming contract and why is it needed?
In order for Astound, and all other multichannel TV providers, to distribute programming content to customers, we have to have an agreed upon contract that outlines how we must pay for and carry the channel. Astound pays programmers (networks or TV station owners) a “carriage fee” per channel, per month, per customer. Without a contract in place, we cannot legally make the content available to customers because we don’t own it.
How will I know if a new agreement is not reached?
As negotiations progress, we’ll keep our customers updated through email and on the Astound website. We’ll also have an onscreen message directing you where to find more information or how to sign up for Starz services directly.
Are SD/HD channels and On Demand part of this renewal?
Yes, all content that Starz Networks owns is affected by this contract negotiation.
What happens if a new agreement is not reached?
If Astound is unable to come to an agreement with Starz to continue carriage of their content, or if Starz chooses to stop negotiating, the channels and on demand content will be removed from Astound’s TV service. The good news is, you can sign up directly for service by going to starz.com/buy which will allow you to continue watching on your favorite devices however and wherever you want. You can even download the app to your Astound set top box.
