How does this upgrade happen?
We’re upgrading our fiber-powered‡ network in a myriad of ways; during this time, some work may be obvious to customers and other work won’t be as apparent. Many upgrade activities occur inside our network, and while not evident, contribute significantly to a more advanced infrastructure.
How will this affect my Astound service(s)?
As we replace and update local connection points that deliver your services, you’ll experience intermittent outages during the day as we complete our work. Our teams will work as efficiently and quickly as possible. We anticipate completing our work within the day. We may have to enter areas of your yard if you have a public easement on your property.
What if Astound isn’t upgrading the network in my neighborhood?
Even if work is not performed in your area, all customers benefit from the network improvements being made because it will be more efficient which means having a faster, more reliable network available for everyone.
How will I know if and when Astound will be working in my neighborhood?
If needed, we’ll notify you via email and letter at least one week prior to beginning the work, then again while in progress, and once more after the upgrade has been completed.
What if I have trouble using my services after work is complete?
If you experience issues accessing the internet, simply restart your modem to get back online.
