The spring season ended abruptly for many of our teams in the ATVN coverage area.
For the first time in a long while (maybe ever?), we lost all eight baseball and softball teams. competing and the state playoffs in the very first round.
All of our local lacrosse teams also had a very early exit and only two local volleyball teams advanced into the second round, with only one of those teams making it through to the quarterfinals.
We will have a special live edition of ATVN SportsTalk next Thursday at 7pm as we will feature long-time/retiring District 11 Secretary Ray Kinder, who will be in our studio to talk about all of his experiences in his several decades of service to local high schools and also address current sports issues.
Now, our attention turns to our summer Blue Mountain League baseball coverage. We will have a preview of the 2026 season coming out on our next entry here at the “SportsTalk Shop.”
