various tournaments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s not only a way to check out how \u201cnext year\u2019s\u201d teams are slowly coming together\u2013mixing in newer players while trying to replace graduated seniors\u2013but also for hearing some rumors and bonafide storylines to keep an eye on when planning for the upcoming winter scholastic season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, here are a few pictures I took on location of some of this summer\u2019s basketball games.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<style themselves so far this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The teams that have made the biggest impression and appear to be the \u2018teams to beat\u2019 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and Colonial League this summer seem to be Parkland, Allentown Central Catholic and Palmerton.\u00a0 Emmaus is another team that has had some nice wins but I believe is still looking for that \u201cthird scoring option\u201d that is so important for championship-caliber teams to have.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bethlehem Catholic is another team that should be very solid next year but is trying to find someone to take over the \u201cleadership\u201d role for the 2023-24 season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Right behind them are Executive Charter, Whitehall and Liberty high schools.\u00a0 All three of these schools have a number of underclassmen returning who have been improving in both local games and AAU traveling tourneys over the last few months.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are a number of other teams that have shown flashes but are still looking to improve for next year\u2013teams like Northampton, Nazareth, Saucon Valley, Bangor, Easton and others that hopefully can take advantage of the next month to use as a springboard to move themselves into the upper levels of their respective leagues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep checking back to the \u201cSportsTalk Shop\u201d for more summer sports news and pictures from local
