July 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The views expressed in this blog are<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of RCN or any other agency, organization, employer or company.<\/span><\/i><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We continue to keep you posted on the local summer high school basketball leagues in the RCN viewing area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the one hand, a few of the regular league and tournaments have been held&#8211;some with the same number of teams as usual, others with dramatically lower turnouts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Holy Name girls tourney was held recently (a month later than \u201cnormal\u201d) and <a href=\"https:\/\/jimthorpeathletics.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jim Thorpe<\/a> came into the Lehigh Valley and surprised some very good teams by bringing home the championship.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nazarethasd.k12.pa.us\/Page\/546\">Nazareth<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastonathletics.com\/\">Easton<\/a> and hosting Allentown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acchs.info\/athletics\">Central Catholic<\/a> were the local contributors that played very well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Nazareth boys basketball team has come on strong of late and captured the \u201cJamFest\u201d title in Allentown the previous weekend.\u00a0 The Blue Eagles had a very young team last winter and those underclassmen might just be hitting their stride.\u00a0 Keep an eye on Nazareth this winter &#8212;
