It\u2019s time when only the top teams in the state of Pennsylvania are still in action (plus those that still play traditional Turkey Day games).<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s also time for our final \u201cBig School\u201d poll (we did the final \u201cSmall School\u201d poll in our last entry), AND\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s also time for our football experts (and myself) to make our final high school football predictions, and out last chance to avoid doing something incredibly embarrassing to ourselves (or at least, those of us who are not in the best of shape).<\/span><\/p>\n

So before we unveil our final \u201cBig School Poll\u201d of the 2019 campaign, here\u2019s a look at how we saw things for these team way back in early August–a few weeks before the season began.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBig\u201d Schools Poll–PRESEASON<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

1)<\/span> \u00a0Freedom<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2) Parkland<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

3) Nazareth<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

4) Easton<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

5) Emmaus<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Other schools receiving votes: Northampton<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

For the largest school districts within the District XI<\/a>\/RCN-TV footprint, they qualify as the \u201cbig schools\u201d in our pigskin poll and consist of\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Parkland<\/a>,\u00a0Liberty<\/a>,\u00a0Allen<\/a>, Easton, Emmaus, Liberty,\u00a0Dieruff<\/a>, Freedom,\u00a0Stroudsburg<\/a>,\u00a0Pleasant Valley<\/a>,\u00a0Northampton<\/a>,\u00a0 Nazareth,\u00a0Whitehall<\/a>,\u00a0Southern Lehigh<\/a>,\u00a0East Stroudsburg-South<\/a>, and\u00a0Pocono Mountain East & West<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Now, here\u2019s our final results\u2026<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Just like with the smaller schools last week when we correctly identified ALL five of the top teams before the season got underway–we had six teams teams being mentioned in our pre-season picks and all five schools in our final poll selected back in early August.\u00a0 In getting votes at both the beginning and end of our poll correct, I have to once again congratulate our \u201cpollsters\u201d (as I seem to do every year!) for doing a tremendous job with their pre-season opinions and choices on who would be the top schools in 2019!<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n
