Before we get to our football conversations, a reminder to keep checking out our next few \u201cSportsTalk<\/a>\u201d programs (on TV and our podcast here on the RCN website), as we will continue to have fall preview features on fall sports teams OTHER than football in both the Lehigh and Delaware Valley areas, in addition to highlighting the top teams and players on the gridiron as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, we present our first in-season look at our high school football poll (as voted by select media members, coaches & administrators within the RCN-TV viewing area) and the return of the \u201cPick 4\u201d game predictions for games that will be played this weekend in the season\u2019s opening weekend of contests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our poll remains with the standard format that we have utilized for many seasons.\u00a0 For the largest school districts within the District XI<\/a>\/RCN-TV footprint, they qualify as the \u201cbig schools\u201d in our pigskin poll.\u00a0 These schools consist of Parkland,\u00a0Liberty<\/a>,\u00a0Allen<\/a>, Easton, Emmaus,\u00a0Dieruff<\/a>, Freedom,\u00a0Stroudsburg<\/a>,\u00a0Pleasant Valley<\/a>,\u00a0Northampton<\/a>, Nazareth,\u00a0Whitehall<\/a>,\u00a0Southern Lehigh<\/a>,\u00a0East Stroudsburg-South<\/a>, and\u00a0Pocono Mountain East & West<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSmall schools\u201d for our poll consist of schools from\u00a0Bangor<\/a>,\u00a0Saucon Valley<\/a>, Central Catholic, Bethlehem Catholic, Northwestern,\u00a0Wilson<\/a>,\u00a0Palisades<\/a>,\u00a0Palmerton<\/a>,\u00a0Salisbury<\/a>, Notre Dame,\u00a0Pen Argyl<\/a>,\u00a0Northern Lehigh<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Catasauqua<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n
