Before we take a look at our first in-season high school football poll and \u201cPick 4\u201d selections, a quick plug for our \u201cSportsTalk\u201d show, which will be broadcasting on location from the Great Allentown Fair<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n

For the 10th<\/sup> year in a row our shows will feature area cheering squads, marching bands and special guests looking at the new HS football season and catching up with legendary names from local high schools in the Lehigh Valley.\u00a0 Check out the shows in person on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6pm from the Farmerama Theater<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you can\u2019t make it out to the Fair, you can see the shows on RCN-TV or RCN On-Demand.<\/p>\n

Now, here are our first \u201cin-season\u201d high school football polls for teams in the District XI<\/a> region\u2026<\/p>\n

Our poll remains in its\u2019 standard, tried-and-true format that we have utilized for many seasons.\u00a0 We will take the 400-male enrollment number as the cutoff for schools within the District XI\/RCN-TV footprint.\u00a0 All of the schools above that number qualify as \u201cbig schools\u201d in our poll. These schools consist of Parkland,\u00a0Liberty,<\/a>\u00a0Allen<\/a>, Easton, Emmaus,\u00a0\u00a0Dieruff<\/a>, Freedom,\u00a0Stroudsburg<\/a>,\u00a0Pleasant Valley<\/a>,\u00a0Northampton<\/a>, Nazareth,\u00a0Whitehall<\/a>,\u00a0Southern Lehigh<\/a>,\u00a0East Stroudsburg-South<\/a>, and\u00a0Pocono Mountain\u00a0<\/a>East & West.<\/p>\n

\u201cSmall schools\u201d (below 400-male enrollment) consist of\u00a0Bangor<\/a>, Saucon Valley, Central Catholic, Bethlehem Catholic,\u00a0Northwestern<\/a>,\u00a0Wilson<\/a>, Palisades,\u00a0Palmerton<\/a>, Salisbury, Notre Dame, Pen Argyl, Northern Lehigh and\u00a0Catasauqua<\/a>.<\/p>\n
